Bike Manager Training

Mission objectives

To coordinate, facilitate and deliver part of the content of the “Cycling Manager Training” programme aimed at mobility managers and officers, local authority staff, local elected representatives and representatives of supra-local bodies (Local Action Groups, Provinces, etc.).

Achievements and impact

• A five-day training course to equip participants with the tools to develop a coherent cycling policy in a practical way.
• One topic covered per day of training (Strategy, Inspiration, Infrastructure, Communication, Services).
• Jointly designed and facilitated by a multidisciplinary team combining technical expertise, feedback from the field and networking amongst active mobility stakeholders, with the support of guest speakers (SPW, associations, private sector organisations).
• Theoretical input, practical workshops and field visits, including a day-long immersion in a pilot city to observe a cycling policy in action.
