Setting Quantified Targets for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Wallonia

Mission objectives

On behalf of the SPW (Public Service of Wallonia) – Sustainable Development Directorate, to translate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into concrete quantified targets for Wallonia, giving full meaning to the monitoring carried out through the regional Progress Report.

Achievements and impact

• Prioritisation of the 169 international SDG targets, resulting in the selection of 61 priority targets for the Walloon Region
• Definition of 89 quantified objectives to be achieved by 2030 for these priority targets, based on existing objectives at the different levels of government
• Identification of the monitoring indicators available for each of these objectives
• Development of a monitoring tool to measure, up to 2030, the achievement of the quantified objectives set for Wallonia
