Mission objectives

To draw up the Wanze Municipal Development Plan (SDC). The SDC is a strategic tool that sets out the broad guidelines for the commune’s spatial planning up to 2050. In particular, it aims to organise the territory around central hubs, limit urban sprawl and land sealing, strengthen its resilience to risks – particularly flooding – and support development that is consistent with the commune’s rural character and heritage.

Achievements and impact

Key challenges identified for the Wanze area:
  • A clear and shared medium- and long-term local strategy.
  • Concrete guidelines for housing, transport, economic activities and public spaces.
  • A decision-making tool for planning permission, projects and local authority investments.
