Planning study for an urban greenway in Namur

ICEDD

Mission objectives

To draw up the master plan for the Namur greenway, a route of approximately 4 km, largely on a dedicated right-of-way, between Jambes station and Namur station, from Amée Park to the RAVeL L142 in Saint-Servais. The master plan sets out the route, the right-of-way and the development principles to ensure the continuity, safety, attractiveness, accessibility and efficiency of the route, and to ensure that it is taken into account by the numerous neighbouring projects until its full completion.

Achievements and impact

  • Coordination of the entire project.
  • Locating the road sub-base along the entire section.
  • Preparing typical cross-sections.
  • Identifying key areas for attention for each section.
  • Carrying out the works, particularly on the left bank of the Meuse, alongside the railway line, notably as part of the development of the station district.
