Support for public project owners in the Brussels-Capital Region on the circular economy

Mission objectives

To provide support to several public sector project owners in Brussels with regard to the development of the circular economy within their projects: reversible design, reuse, waste management and digitalisation.

Achievements and impact

• Support for 12 projects focusing on reuse, reversible spatial and technical design, waste management and digitalisation.
• Drafting of thematic notes on circular design, reuse, digitalisation and construction waste, with the aim of providing the key insights needed to understand and implement each of these themes, and to summarise, by theme, the lessons learnt from the projects.
• Drafting of a project fact sheet for each of the supported projects, setting out key identifying information (location, size, building functions, etc.); a brief description of the project; and a summary of the support provided.
• Drafting of notes providing a detailed summary of the advice given to public project owners supported in the context of their specific projects.
