Big data and mobility
Context
The development of information and communication technologies has generated a new resource: digital data. Millions of data items are collected daily by telecom operators and GPS navigation providers, offering new prospects in the area of travel. What does this data bring to the world of mobility? The Province of Walloon Brabant has launched a pioneering study into this with the participation of ICEDD.

Objectives
- Explore the new horizons made possible by telecom (Proximus) and GPS (TomTom) data;
- Support provincial officials in interpreting the data.
Execution
As part of this training course, ICEDD participated in:
- Data reliability analysis;
- Design of mapping tool;
- Design of an interface for viewing targeted data.
