Development of impact assessment methods and technical support for policies and measures implemented within the framework of the Belgian federal climate policy
Context
Under the European Climate and Energy Package, the Federal Authority and the Regions are committed to achieving the targets set for Belgium in terms of greenhouse gas reduction in the non-ETS sector and in terms of renewable energy sources.

Objectives
- Assess or re-assess the main policies and measures implemented under the Belgian federal climate policy with regard to greenhouse gas emission reductions by 2020 and 2030;
- Study the different socio-economic impacts of these policies and measures;
- Produce a tool kit for assessing emission reductions and the socio-economic impacts of new policies and measures to be implemented within the framework of the Belgian federal climate policy.
Execution
As part of this study, ICEDD undertook the evaluation of energy policies and measures in buildings and the socio-economic analysis of the measures.
