Material flow indicators
Context
Material flow indicators are markers used to quantify the environmental pressures associated with the modes of production and consumption of goods and services within a country. The study of these indicators is an important tool for the management of resources and waste, the monitoring of sustainable development and knowledge of the physical metabolism of the economy.

- Material stocks.
Execution
As part of this study, ICEDD participated in:
- Collecting the data necessary for producing material flow indicators for the Walloon Region;
- Proposing an estimation methodology for the missing data (estimation of some missing flows, methodology for quantifying imports and exports, etc.);
- Calculating the indicators.
